Student Drop-Off and Pick-up Information
- School begins promptly at 8:30 am each day.
- On Friday mornings at 8:30, we have a brief school-wide community gathering for students, parents, teachers, and staff to hear announcements, celebrate birthdays, and promote community.
- Students in the before-school program may be dropped off as early as 7:45 a.m. Students who are not participating in the before-school program should be dropped off between 8:15 and 8:30 am to play on the yard.
- Greeters/teachers will be available to assist students during drop-off and pick-up times, and there will be a crossing guard at the corner of Lenore and Commercial during these times. Please ALWAYS use the crosswalk for safety.
- Parents may use the designated drop-off area on Lenore St. or park and walk to and from campus.
- School ends at 3:30 pm with the exception of Tuesdays (early release day) at 2:00 pm.
BEfore- & After-School Programs
Childcare is available before school beginning at 7:45 am and after school from dismissal until 5:45 pm.
The before-school program (for children dropped off between 7:45 and 8:15 a.m.) offers a simple breakfast and quality care. Parents do not need to sign up or pre-pay for this program. The before-school program is just $1/ day.
We also offer an after-school program that includes homework help, a healthy snack, and free play, as well as many additional enrichment activities. Parents may opt for a regular schedule, or call the office during the school day to request a "drop-in."
Parents must sign up for the afterschool program through the office or by emailing jessica@willitsk5charter.org. Children may only access the after-school program if we have their after-school program registration forms on file.
